This analysis covers monitoring of 100+ media outlets in Montenegro, specifically news related to Crime/Chronicle reported during April, May and June 2023.

The report shows Crime/Chronicle news segmented by the City where cases happened.

Almost 40% of the total 10.290 news report about cases in Podgorica, followed by Bar and Budva.

These news collected a total of 318.261 reactions in social media networks (dominantly Facebook).

The highest number of audience reactions is related to news cases about physical attacks (17K reactions) followed by followed by car accidents with 8K, forged documents with 6.7K, family violence with 6.5K, hate speech with 4.7K and drug trafficking with 4K. The ranking has been determined based on the top crime news stories, taking into account the number of reactions they have received.

Methodology

Pikasa used its analytics.live media intelligence platform to conduct real-time online monitoring of more than 1,500 media and thousands of social media channels in 6 countries of the Western Balkans Region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia).

The analytics platform monitors media articles along with their respective penetration on social network platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok etc.) counting all types of activities and engagements.
